On May 17, 2013, ESW Group® received notification from California Air Resource Board (“ARB”) that ESW CleanTech Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Environmental Solutions Worldwide Inc., has met the requirements under Verification Procedure,  Warranty, and In-Use Compliance Requirements for In-Use Strategies to Control Emissions from Diesel Engines, Title 13, California Code of Regulations, Sections 2700-2711, and the verifications of the LongMile-S™ and Horizon™ products have been transferred to ESW CleanTech, Inc., from Cleaire Advanced Emission Control, LLC, (“Cleaire”). We expect additional verifications related to the court approved asset sale from Cleaire, including, but not limited to, the Vista™, Longview™, Phoenix™ and Lonestar™ products, to be approved for transfer by ARB to ESW CleanTech, Inc. in the coming months.

ARB has issued Executive Order DE-12-007-01 for the LongMile-S™ system and Executive Order DE-05-010-08 for the Horizon™ system.

On April 18, 2013, ESW Group® closed on the acquisition of certain assets from Cleaire Advanced Emissions Controls, LLC (“Cleaire”).  Cleaire has been engaged in the design, development and manufacturing of retrofit emission control systems for diesel engines.

As previously disclosed in our April 12, 2013 Form 8-K filing, Environmental Solutions Worldwide, Inc. (the “Company”) had entered into an asset purchase agreement (the “Asset Purchase Agreement”) with the acting receiver for Cleaire.  On April 18, 2013, the Court issued the sale order to consummate the transactions contemplated by the Asset Purchase Agreement, and subsequently, the contemplated asset acquisition and assumption of certain limited liabilities was consummated for a purchase price of $1.4 million plus a portion of gross profit realized on a certain purchase order.

The Company has established a new wholly owned Subsidiary, ESW CleanTech Inc. (“ESW CleanTech”), a Delaware corporation, which will house the acquired assets.  ESW CleanTech will operate out of San Diego, California.

Seaboard Marine Adopts Emissions Reducing Program at PortMiami

September 20, 2012, Recently, Seaboard Marine launched a new environmental friendly initiative at our PortMiami facility using new emission reducing diesel filters in 12 of our cargo tractors.   The new filters are designed to cut more than 97 percent of the particulates emitted by the tractor’s diesel engines.

The emission reducing initiative was part of the Environmental Protection Agency’s National Clean Diesel Funding Assistance Program. The ThermaCat filters were developed by ESW Group™  and installed by Wallace Truck of Ft. Myers, Florida.

“The technology in these specific cleansing filters reduces more than 97% of the particulates emitted by diesel engines”, said Edward Gonzalez, Seaboard Marine President, “We’re proud to work with PortMiami in improving air quality within the community”.

Cleaner emissions from school buses

Students in Rockdale County will soon breathe fresher air on their ride to school with the help of a grant that funds clean air measures for buses.

Seventy of the 200 buses in the Rockdale County Public Schools systems’ fleet are being retrofitted to substantially reduce emissions produced by exhaust from diesel fuel. The process involves installing after-market exhaust treatment devices that reportedly catch approximately 90 percent of particulates contained in exhaust.

Phil Budensiek, head of the Rockdale County Public Schools Operational Services, said the particulates emitted contribute to the smog levels that the public hears about.

“It is our whole region that benefits (from the devices),” said Budensiek. “It means cleaner air.”

“We already have a no-idling policy when we pull into our schools. Most of our schools have asked parents to comply with that.”

Funded by an $800,000 federal grant awarded through the Ga. Department of Natural Resources, the 70 buses will be retrofitted with a ThermaCat Filter System. The diesel particulate filter system reduces the particles that come from the tailpipe by capturing and burning the exhaust in a box.

According the Clean Air Campaign website, exposure to particle pollution can cause damage to the hearts and lungs of children. The mixture of microscopic solids and liquid droplets are suspended in the air as a result of a variety of sources including diesel engines, power plants, burning and industrial processes. Particles are extremely small — thirty can fit in the diameter of a human hair — and exposure to particle pollution can exacerbate the symptoms of asthma, bronchitis and pneumonia.

Covered entirely by the $800,000 Department of Natural Resources grant, the 70 buses are being retrofitted by Rush Trucking Company in Atlanta, though not all the work will be completed by the time school starts on July 30.

According to Budensiek, the system hopes to have the entire fleet, approximately 200 buses, in compliance within the next five years.

(OTC Markets: ESWW), was notified that its wholly owned subsidiary ESW Technologies, Inc., has obtained an Executive Order from the California Air Resources Board (CARB) for the Company’s ThermaCat-e Active Level III Plus Diesel Particulate Filter System targeted at EGR engines. Effective July 16th, 2012, CARB verified the ThermaCat-e for retrofit on 1993 through 2009 On-Road engine model years, having engine displacement between 4 and 13 liters and a horse power (HP) rating between 150 to 400 HP.

With this new CARB Executive Order DE-12-005, the ThermaCat continues to be a viable product and extends its range of applications in step with the changing marketplace demands.

The ThermaCat-e, as verified, reduces diesel Particulate Matter (PM), Carbon Monoxide (CO) and Hydro Carbon (HC) in excess of 85% while meeting the nationwide stringent nitrogen dioxide (NO2) limitations.
