Company History

ESW Group® was founded in 1999 as a research and development company with the goal to develop ceramic based catalytic converters for the automotive industry.

In 2001, ESW Group acquired the assets and proprietary technologies of an emissions testing and catalyst development company in Pennsylvania. Through this acquisition, ESW Group began the research and development of a wire mesh based substrate technology that could be adapted for usage on diesel, gasoline and alternative fueled engines.

ESW Group became the first to overcome the technical difficulties of producing a commercialized wire mesh based catalyst for internal combustion engines of all sizes. This unique proprietary catalyst product achieves, in most applications, superior emissions reductions and structural durability to current conventional technologies available in the market.

In 2009, ESW Group obtained a Level III+ verification from the California Air Resource Board for the ThermaCat product for both on-road and off-road applications. In 2012, ESW Group obtained a Level III+ CARB verification for the ThermaCat-e that broadened the applicable vehicle universe to include on-road EGR engines.

In 2013, ESW Group added four new on-road verifications to its product portfolio CARB verified technologies. These include the LongMile®-S, the Horizon®, the Longview® and the Vista®. The addition of these leading CARB verified products have placed ESW Group as the leader in cutting edge Level III+ diesel emission control technologies in North America.

In 2015 ESW Group launched Skyline Emissions Inc. Skyline Emissions specializes in the design, development and manufacture of a complete line of aftermarket diesel particulate filters (DPF) and related emissions critical components. Developed by an engineering team with decades of diesel emissions control experience, Skyline DPFs combine Exact-Fit™ design with exceptional quality and extensive performance testing. Learn more at
